Meadowbrook Health Center and Green House Homes are currently observing IDPH restrictions described under Reopening Plans - Phase 3. Additionally, all long-term care facilities in Champaign County are required to follow additional mitigation rules described as Tier 3. These restrictions include:
Visitations are currently limited to virtual or in-person window visits. To arrange for a visit,
- For Meadowbrook residents, please reach out to Nancy Vinson by calling 239-6343 or emailing her at email@example.com to arrange for a virtual visit
- For the west Green House, please call 239-5219
- For the east Green House, please call 239-5214
- Communal dining is suspended.
- Group activities are suspended.
Public Health will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics in Champaign County over a 14-day monitoring period to determine if mitigations can be relaxed, if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigation should remain in place. In order for a region to move back to Tier 2 mitigations (less restrictions), a region must experience less than 12 percent test positivity rate for three consecutive days AND greater than 20 percent available intensive care unit (ICU) and hospital bed availability AND declining COVID hospitalizations in 7 out of the last 10 days.
Should you have any questions, please contact Vice President of Health Services, Rikki Brady at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will respond as soon as she is able.
You can also call Meadowbrook Health Center or the Green House Home for updates on the status of your loved one. We understand that you are concerned about your loved one, but it is crucial that we continue to restrict visitation to reduce the spread of this virus. We also understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important to our residents. Family members are encouraged to connect with their loved ones through video chat, calling, texting, or other social media formats. We are happy to assist you with doing this.
We will contact you if your loved one is suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19. Updates will be provided weekly, or each subsequent time a confirmed infection of COVID-19 is identified and/or whenever three or more residents or staff members with new onset of respiratory symptoms occurs within 72 hours.
What are we doing to mitigate the spread of COVID-19:
We continue to restrict visitors to our campus. All employees are screened prior to the start of their shift, and their temperature is being taken. This process is repeated midway through their shift for those employees working 4 or more hours. All residents in Meadowbrook and the Green House homes are having their vital signs checked approximately every 8 hours as well as their oxygen saturation level and are assessed for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. We continue to limit the number of residents in the dining room, and we continue to limit the number of residents in any one activity to 10 or less while maintaining social distancing. Our residents are also being asked to wear a mask (which we provided) while staff are performing personal care, or when they are out of their rooms. We have also significantly increased our disinfecting of surfaces, rooms, common spaces and high touch areas such as telephones and doorknobs.
We need your help in battling COVID-19. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website to learn how you can help prevent the spread in our community. www.cdc.gov
