The Green House Homes are in CMS Phase 2 and Meadowbrook Health Center is in CMS Phase 3, which means indoor visits are now allowed! Because of our low positivity rates (and those of the county), IDPH is allowing limited indoor visitation for the first time since last fall. To help keep the residents safe, there are rules around visitation including a requirement to make advance reservations.
Green House Indoor Visits
Please call the Green House to schedule your visit. All visits need to be scheduled in advance. You will be screened via telephone up to 24 hours prior to your visit. You then need to go to the employee entrance at Clark-Lindsey (off of Race Street parking lot), screen in person and receive a name tag/sticker that will show the date and time you were screened. Take this sticker with you to the Green House. All visits will take place in the den of the home. You have to remain 6 feet apart and wear your mask the entire time. We ask that you also perform hand hygiene when entering the building and before leaving. There is a limit of two visitors per time and you must live in the same household to visit together. If you become ill within 3 days of visiting, please notify the Green House right away. Phone number for East GH 217.239.5215. Phone number for West GH 217.239.5217.
Meadowbrook Indoor Visits
Same process as for the Green House homes – you need to call and make a reservation and follow the same screening protocol (see above). Visits for Meadowbrook are taking place in the Renewal Therapy lounge – the entrance is right off of Race Street and there is designated parking for visitors by the entrance. Phone number for Meadowbrook 217.239.6343.
As a reminder, the rules that surround visits are directives from the Illinois Department of Public Health. All visitors have to abide by these – maintaining social distance of 6 feet or more, wear a mask at all times, stay in the designated visiting area. Those that do not follow the rules will be asked to leave and will not be allowed to return. We have worked diligently throughout this pandemic to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can, and to follow the guidance that has been given to us. IWe ask for your continued support in this.
The beauty salons in both Meadowbrook and the Green House Homes are open.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me should you have any questions. There is also a nursing manager on call 24 hours per day/7 days per week. You can also call the Green House Homes or the nursing units directly. We will contact you if your loved one is suspected or diagnosed with COVID-19. Updates will be provided weekly, or each subsequent time a confirmed infection of COVID-19 is identified and/or whenever three or more residents or staff members with new onset of respiratory symptoms occurs within 72 hours.
What are we doing to mitigate the spread of COVID-19:
All employees are screened prior to the start of their shift, and their temperature is being taken. This process is repeated midway through their shift for those employees working 4 or more hours. All residents in Meadowbrook and the Green House homes are having their vital signs checked approximately every 8 hours as well as their oxygen saturation level and are assessed for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. We continue to limit the number of residents in the dining room, and we continue to limit the number of residents in any one activity to 10 or less while maintaining social distancing. Our residents are also being asked to wear a mask (which we provided) while staff are performing personal care, or when they are out of their rooms. We have also significantly increased our disinfecting of surfaces, rooms, common spaces and high touch areas such as telephones and doorknobs.
We need your help in battling COVID-19. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website to learn how you can help prevent the spread in our community. www.cdc.gov
